This helps to avoid the problem many people face where they are inserting images into their web pages from different areas of their computers hard drives. If those images are moved from say the desktop to another folder, dreamweaver may not be able to find them. So it makes good sense to organize your files for a more efficient workflow. After all, time is money.
Well be inserting our images into our Dreamweaver site directory. It will be easier for you to do if you already have a folder called images inside your site root, If you haven’t already defined a site or site root then please see the tutorial on defining a new site in dreamweaver. My basic root directory consists of a defined site name which would be your website name like dreamweavertutorial and inside the root of this site will be a folder called images.
