Dreamweaver Scrolling Web Page in Dreamweaver CS4
Have you ever wanted to make a div scroll with the page? In this Adobe Dreamweaver Video Tutorial, we will use minimal html coding to create web page scrolling text. The scrolling web page will require only a few CSS selectors which you can use to either hand type the scrolling code or use Dreamweaver CS4’s CSS selector dialog box to create the scrolling page. Creating scrolling pages or scrolling text can be achieved in less than 10 minutes especially if you download the Dreamweaver scroll with page exercise files available just underneath the scrolling text video tutorial.
The exercise files for the scroll with page tutorial are contained inside a zipped file. Once you download the files and extract them to a folder on your desktop, you will find a folder with a completed scroll page as well as a starting folder with 2 images and some text which will allow you to complete the scroll with page video tutorial. You will need to define a new site and tell Dreamweaver the location of the root folder and the default images folder in order for Dreamweaver to have access to the images and text.
One of the background images is a seamless green wallpaper effect background which will be placed into the body area of the web page. The second image is to put into the foreground div. The images are well contrasted to make the effect work quite well when the text area is scrolling. The text we will make white to contrast the blue background and will also look great when the div scrolls with the page.
